Columbia University - Women's Head Coach & Asst. Coach
posted August 13, 2019

Columbia University Women’s Rugby is currently looking for a new coach for its team. CUWRFC is a fun-loving and high-achieving group of players who come with a wide array of rugby experience. The club accepts all skill levels to give new players the chance to fall in love with the sport, while maintaining a high level of expectation that satisfies existing players and drives us to work hard to win games. Because rugby at Columbia/Barnard is a club sport, it is entirely student-led in terms the administrative details of practice, games, refs, transportation, etc. We are a rugby team with players from Columbia and Barnard undergrad and sometimes grad schools. We really value a team spirit focused around supporting each other as we push ourselves on and off the field, being a family, and building a community that extends outside of practice and games.

Responsibilities would include:

* Facilitating team practice twice a week, 7:30-9:30 Monday and Wednesday

* Coaching team at all home and away matches

* Teaching safe rugby technique and strategy to players from very beginning levels on up

Compensation is paid per semester and is comparable to other club coaching opportunities in the area. If you are interested in applying for the position, please send a coaching resume to:
