Uticuse Rugby Club - Head Coach

The Uticuse Rugby Club is currently seeking a Coach to be employed during Fall League seasons starting in Fall of 2020. The team currently competes in the Empire GU Women’s D2 League, and is made up of players with a wide range of skills and experience. 

The team board is willing to negotiate a rate of pay with the coach to be paid either weekly or biweekly for their services. The schedule has historically been to start Fall 15’s practices in August lasting throughout the season until early November. The team currently practices twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Syracuse O’Connor Park, and then will have games on Saturdays. There will be between 8 and 10 games per fall season with half of them being away. Travel to away games ranges from 6 to 11 hours round trip.  The team needs a coach that would be able to commit to coming to most if not all the games, and most if not all practices. 

The Coach Description per the Uticuse Rugby Club Bylaws: “The Coach will be responsible for providing a safe environment where the club members will be able to learn the sport of rugby.  The Coach will teach the sport to the best of their ability with the aid of the Executive Board and the field Captains in a safe manner always putting the well-being of the players first. The Coach is responsible for putting together practice plans for each practice, working with Captains and the President on the game-day lineups, and providing consultation to the team during games.”

Lansdowne RFC - Head Coach / Player Coach

Lansdowne Rugby Club New York is inviting applications for a highly motivated & inspirational Head Coach/Player coach for the 2020/2021 Season. The successful candidate will be expected to coach and manage the Clubs senior team and encourage participation along with bringing our game to the next level.


Lansdowne Rugby Club New York currently has 1 senior team and play in the Empire geographical union (EGU). The team played in D3 last season and won out the league. Watch the final on.


* Plan and develop a coaching program for the season to develop skills, fitness and enhance participation

* Deliver sessions on 2 training evenings (currently Tuesdays and Thursdays)

* Lead team selection

* Manage and lead the team on match days

* Support player recruitment and retention

* Actively support the Club Committee Key Attributes

* Good organizational & interpersonal skills

* USA rugby level 200 certification/world rugby certification.
* Enthusiasm & commitment


This is a part time paid position: Pay according to experience. Club willing to help with work.
