To start the process of applying for membership with Empire GU, a prospective club will need to provide the following to the Director of Rugby via email:
* Official Club Name
* Permanent Address
* Primary Contact (name, cell phone, email)
* Additional Contacts (names, cell, email)
* Division of Play requested
* Current Number of Club Members
* Projected Number of Club Members (by date of first competition)
It is an EGU requirement that all new clubs compete as a Social member until voted in as a full club by the membership. As a Social member, you will be allowed to compete in friendly matches against fellow EGU clubs.
After a period of review to ensure your club is viable, it will be eligible to be voted upon as a full member of the EGU. This could potentially occur as soon as the next Annual General Meeting, which is held in July. Your club’s eligibility and potential move to voting on full-member status will be determined by the Director of Rugby and your respective competition director.
