NYRC: Multiple Coaching Positions (posted August 22, 2024)
NYRC seeking coaches. Part-time positions supporting D2, D3, and D4 men's teams in NYC. New York Rugby Club is the nation's oldest club (1929) and the men's program currently supports more than 100 players per season. Looking for coaches and assistant coaches to join our team. Union Women are seeking a new head coach. Union Women are a D3 competitive club located in Cranford, NJ with approximately 30 playing members. The club is seeking a Head Coach who is a positive motivator and a clear and effective communicator capable of managing skill development for both experienced rugby players and crossover athletes. The Lady Mudturtles are 2X Empire GU D3 Champions and 2X Atlantic Super Regional Runners-Up, and are seeking to succeed at the 2025 ASR Championship, and beyond. Gotham Knights Rugby Club: Head / Forwards Coach  (posted June 4, 2024)
Gotham Knights Rugby Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head/Forwards Coach to lead our team on the pitch for the Fall '24 season and beyond. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing players within the values and mission of Gotham Knights Rugby Club. The Head/Forwards Coach will design and implement practice plans, drills, and other training activities to prepare players for competitive play at the D3 level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Player Development: Implement training programs that cater to both experienced players and those new to the sport, ensuring all players have the opportunity to develop and reach their fullest potential.
  • Practice Plans: Develop and deliver effective practice plans, focusing on skills, drills, and strategies tailored to the needs of the team.
  • Team Needs & Milestones: Work in partnership with the Director of Rugby and Club President to identify team needs, set milestones, and achieve performance goals.
  • Advanced Knowledge: Demonstrate advanced knowledge of play, including defense, scrums, lineouts, and offensive structures.
  • Set Standards: Establish and maintain high standards for player conduct and performance, embodying and promoting the club's values.
  • Club Values: Exude and advocate for the values and mission of Gotham Knights Rugby Club in all coaching activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in coaching rugby, with a focus on forwards.
  • Advanced understanding of forwards play, including scrums, lineouts, and defensive structures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with club management and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for player development and rugby.
